Nottingham beach is currently open until 1st September 2024, 10am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 10pm on Sunday. The beach is located in Nottingham’s Old Market Square. It is an urban beach resort with rides, attractions and food for the whole family to enjoy.
The rides and attractions include giant slide, bungee trampolines, hook a duck, water balls, star flyer and bumper boats.

We parked in Victoria Centre, which is a short 5 minute walk to Nottingham Beach. The parking for the duration that we stayed in Nottingham cost us £4. Parking is convenient as well for anyone with young children as the baby changing at Victoria Centre is one of the best we have ever seen. There is also a tram stop, which is located next to Nottingham beach.
The pool and beach area is open Monday to Sunday from 10am until 8pm on Mondays to Saturdays and 8pm on Sundays. Entry is free and there is a 150 capacity.

We arrived at Nottingham Beach just before midday, it was extremely hot outside so many families were making the most of the facilities. If you don’t like crowds I would recommend getting there when it first opens. There must have been close to 150 people at the beach and pool area.
The water in the pool at first glance looked dirty however we quickly realised that young children were taking their buckets to and from the pool to the beach to fill with water and sand so the dirty appearance in the pool was actually sand!

Children and adults were having a great time, splashing about. Ted is 2 and a half and he was able to comfortably walk in the pool area holding daddy’s hand. He had a great time walking about and splashing about in the water! Thankfully we only had a small meltdown getting out of the water as we headed straight to the beach opposite to dry off and play in the sand.

There isn’t a dedicated buggy area however everyone was leaving the buggies next to the pool so that you could easily keep an eye on them.
There are a few food stalls next to the beach as well. We ordered two lots of Halloumi fries for £12. They were very tasty and filled us up! We also shared an ice cream between us which was £2.50.

We unfortunately didn’t go on any rides as it was a very hot day and Ted wanted to be in the shade after being in the hot sun from the pool and beach. Everyone on the rides and attractions looked like they were having a great time though and we hope to go on them next year!

It’s a great addition to the City Centre in the summer and If you are in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit to Nottingham Beach. Great fun for all of the family, especially the kids.
